In L.N. Gumilyov ENU at the Faculty of International Relations for first-year undergraduates began a lecture course “The evolution of European diplomacy” by Professor B.Z. Somzhurek as part of the implementation of the European Union program, Jean Monnet. The activities of this program are aimed at the development and support of research in the field of European integration and is intended primarily for a wide range of target groups.
During the semester, undergraduates will consider and discuss the priorities of foreign policy of the European Union, cooperation of Brussels with international and regional organizations, the diplomatic structure of the European Union, the role of European diplomacy in resolving conflicts, as well as cooperation of the European Union with Central Asian countries.
It should be noted that the professor of the department of international relations B.Zh. In 2010, Somzhurek completed an internship at the main institutions of the European Union in Brussels thanks to the program of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, “European Union Visitors”.
